The Recreation Therapy Dept. of Windemere Nursing and Rehab. Center is in need of donations to allow us to continue our work until we have our yearly auction in May.
We have many entertainers performing for the residents of Windemere. We also bring the residents out into their community to restaurants, concerts, plays and other events. One of the best things about Windemere is our "Wish" program. We try to grant wishes for our residents, from swimming at the YMCA to having a ride in a bi-plane or being able to go deep sea fishing or horseback riding or to even having a facial for the first time at 95!
Our goal is to keep our residents engaged in life. They have worked hard all their lives and have lost so much. We consider it a gift to be able to grant their wishes and to bring joy into their daily lives. They have given to their families and to their community all of their lives. It is our turn to give back to them.
